Unlocking a New Standard of Home

A Legacy in the Making

From a 1955 Vision to a Big Country Staple

The story of Andrews Furniture began in 1955 when E.H. "Mac" Andrews opened a modest appliance shop on South First Street. What started as a commitment to serving Abilene families grew into a multi-generational legacy. By 1965, appliances evolved into a full-scale furniture destination, built on the simple Texas Tech values of hard work and local pride.

Today, that same spirit continues under the leadership of Dick Andrews, who joined his father in 1977, and his son Scott Andrews, representing the third generation of the family business. Along with Sales Manager Marianne Andrews and our expert team, we carry forward a 70-year covenant: we don't just sell furniture; we provide a home for your family’s most important moments.

Before "Fast Furniture," There Was Andrew’s

We’ve never believed in disposable decor. Since our founding in 1955, we have focused on the "Investment Piece"—furniture that grows old with your family. This vintage storefront represents more than just our history; it represents a standard of service that big-box stores can’t replicate.

The Next Generation of Comfort

As Scott Andrews carries our family legacy into the future, our mission remains unchanged. We are embracing the next era of design—combining modern innovation and custom craftsmanship with the same 'Red Carpet' service my grandfather promised in 1955. The styles may evolve, but our dedication to the Big Country is just getting started.
